Education

The design and specification of education buildings is hugely important in ensuring a suitable learning environment for children and students. Modern education projects often include natural ventilation strategies.

The Education (School Premises) Regulations require that schools must have heating systems capable of maintaining specified minimum temperatures, typically between 18°C and 21°C. Ceiling mounted radiant heating systems direct heat to exactly where it is required, and are an excellent solutions in areas with high air change rates e.g. classrooms.

Radiant heating lighting rafts are specified when soffits are exposed for thermal mass heating and cooling. Additionally, trench heating systems are often used at the perimeter of highly glazed elevations e.g. in atria and corridors.
