Occupant comfort

One of the key roles of building service designers is to ensure a comfortable internal thermal environment. The provision of insufficient or excessive heating will lead to occupant discomfort and reduced productivity levels. Specifying the correct heating system will play a key role in ensuring high levels of occupant comfort. This will ensure the creation and maintenance of a comfortable internal environment and is true for both new build and refurbishment projects. The specification will depend on a number of factors including temperature, air movement and occupant activity. The nature of the space will also play an important role e.g. a reception area with external doors versus a healthcare environment with patients spending a long time in one position.

The HCP range offers both radiant and convective solutions, which are suitable for a wide variety of sectors including educational buildings, leisure establishments and commercial buildings.
